Galaxy S26 Ultra price in Europe
Early leaks suggest Samsung may raise Galaxy S26 prices in parts of Europe, even after scaling back several planned upgrades. That has shifted attention from features to cost, as buyers question what they are paying more for this year.
Pricing leaks from Sweden and France indicate the base Galaxy S26 could see a small increase, while the Galaxy S26 Plus may rise by a larger margin. Higher storage models of the Galaxy S26 Ultra are also expected to cost more, despite limited visible changes compared to the previous generation.
Sources familiar with Samsung’s plans say the company reduced upgrades last year to avoid higher prices. Reports point to scrapped features such as bigger batteries, faster charging, camera improvements, and built in Qi2 magnets. Those changes were reportedly dropped after Apple launched the iPhone 17 lineup without a price hike.
What remains are modest updates. These include higher base storage, satellite messaging support, a thinner Galaxy S26 Ultra, and slightly faster wireless charging. The overall design and hardware are expected to stay close to the Galaxy S25 series.
The situation matters because buyers may now face higher prices without clear hardware gains. With smartphone costs already rising across markets, the Galaxy S26 lineup risks feeling more expensive without offering a strong reason to upgrade.
Samsung has not confirmed pricing or final specifications. Official details are expected at the Galaxy Unpacked event later this month.
