Samsung has started rolling out its new One UI 8.5 update with several upgrades and new features. The update first appeared on the Galaxy S26 series and is expected to reach older devices soon.
One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2. It brings improvements in design, AI features and system performance. Samsung has not confirmed an official rollout date yet. However, signs suggest the stable update could arrive soon for more Galaxy devices.
The beta program has already been active for several models. Devices like the Galaxy S25 series and foldables have been part of testing. This matters because One UI updates often bring major changes to daily use. From better design to smarter AI tools, these updates improve how users interact with their phones.
One UI 8.5 introduces new customization options in Quick Settings. Users can now resize and rearrange controls more freely. The update also improves the lock screen. It can adjust clock placement automatically and show weather visuals based on real conditions.
Samsung has added new AI features as well. The “Now Nudge” feature suggests actions based on what is on your screen. Photo Assist has also been improved for easier image editing.
There are also new tools like partial screen recording, audio broadcast and storage sharing between Galaxy devices. Security has been improved with features like failed authentication lock and theft protection.
Samsung has not released an official list yet, but many Galaxy devices are expected to receive the update. This includes recent S series, foldables and selected A series devices.
As the rollout begins, users can expect One UI 8.5 to bring a more refined and smarter experience to Galaxy devices.
