Motorola has fully unveiled the Razr Fold at MWC 2026, detailing its first book style foldable with high brightness dual displays, a 6,000mAh silicon carbon battery, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance. Pricing in Europe is confirmed at €1,999, while North American availability is expected later in 2026.
The Razr Fold features an 8.1 inch internal LTPO display with 2484 x 2232 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 6200 nits. The external 6.6 inch screen reaches 6000 nits and supports up to 165Hz refresh rate. Both panels support Dolby Vision and stylus input, marking a broader pen experience compared to some competing foldables.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Motorola includes a liquid cooling system to maintain performance during gaming and multitasking. The foldable runs Android 16 out of the box and is promised seven years of OS updates.
Battery capacity stands out at 6,000mAh, one of the largest in a foldable smartphone. The device supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Despite the large battery, the Razr Fold measures 4.6mm when open and 9.9mm when closed, with an aluminum frame and premium finish options in Blackened Blue and Lily White.
Camera hardware includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP 3x telephoto camera. The device also features dual front cameras with 32MP and 20MP sensors for internal and external use.
With Samsung and Google already several generations into book style foldables, Motorola’s entry signals a stronger push into the premium segment. The combination of high brightness displays, large battery capacity, and flagship silicon positions the Razr Fold as a direct competitor in the expanding foldable market.
